New trends in countertops: Natural Stone

The Latest kitchen trends use pure and elegant styles. Natural stone is still in trend due to its ‘homemade’ signature, especially for countertops, but also in floors, walls and even furniture lining.

At present, natural materials with textured finishes, even coarse finishes, play a leading role. Granite is very much in trend as it creates a sophisticated and remarkably rustic setting or mood. This trend is due, amongst other things, to the prominance that the kitchen holds in our homes nowadays, being an integral part of the home and one of the most important rooms in the house, opening itself up to everyone.

As for colours and finishes, black and white are still the stars in kitchen design. Together with the different finishes and textures, this adds endless design possibilities, helping to create a unique and unrepeatable product.

The worktops made from natural stone and, in particular, those made from granite, are characterized by greater resistance, especially to abrupt changes in temperature, than seen with other materials.

On the other hand, very elegant effects can be achieved when combined with other materials on walls, such as with paint. Furthermore , Kitchens in which the wall of the work area has been covered with the same stone, show an excellent result because they are always easy to clean, more so than wood or paint.
